Last weekend’s Olympic closing ceremonies were historic for many reasons, but among the litany of epic performances was Blur‘s final show in the famous Hyde Park. The massive sold-out show has already been released digitally on iTunes, with future plans for a massive CD/DVD box set slated for release in November.

The performance, according to Gigwiseonly secured the entire band a mere £300 (roughly $470). Frontman Damon Albarn didn’t seem to mind, however, detailing “It gives us a chance to play to a lot of people in London. In the sense of the Olympics, it’s nice to get involved and celebrate this amazing city. Everyone’s feeling pretty good about London, and I’m there with that because I love this city.”

The box set will include five discs: three CD’s of the show, a DVD, and a bonus CD of the band’s performance at London’s 100 Club. Also, the set will include a 60-page hardcover book of the two shows.
