Blink-182 has made it through the best of times and worst of times – From the release of their first album ‘The Cheshire Cat’ in 1994, through to their break-up in 2005 and subsequent make-up in 2009.

Now, with the release of their new single “Up All Night,” the overwhelmingly positive response from fans has proven that the band is in the best of times once again.

Demonstrating the success of the new single, Blink-182 Bassist/Vocalist Mark Hoppus sent an email to MTV saying, “[Our website] crashed out several times, my Google-plus account crashed out twice, and blink-182 was a top trending topic worldwide.”

With the same familiar punk rock vocals and guitar by Mark Hoppus and Tom Delong along with Travis Barker on drums the new sound is unmistakably “Blink.”

Blink-182 began work on a new album immediately after their reunion in 2009. “Up All Night”, which will be the band’s first single in six years, took two years of work for the band to get it to sound exactly right. They added heavier guitar, bass, and drum sounds, as well as more electronics for a more progressive sound.

But make no mistake, old fans will not be disappointed as the band still maintain that unmistakable Punk sound. The new album, titled ‘Neighborhoods,’ is to be released in September and ‘The Blinkumentary,’ a new documentary film about the band is scheduled for a fall 2011 release as well.
