British rockers Arctic Monkeys unveiled a brand new single this morning.
Titled ‘R U Mine?’, the track was released online in the early hours of this morning, with no fanfare or any official announcement from the band.
The music video for the track shows Steve Jones, a DJ at California radio station KROQ introducing the song before going on to depict the band driving around in a car singing along to the tune on the radio.
KROQ premiered the song live on the radio at 7pm PST last night, and it has since been confirmed the footage of Steve Jones was filmed live at the station as the track was being premiered, just hours before the video was uploaded to YouTube.
Earlier in the year, the band said they would like to release a new song before going on to support The Black Keys on their U.S. tour throughout March, and it seems like this is it. However, there has been speculation than concertgoers could be treated to more new material then they see the band live.
After touring with The Black Keys, the Arctic Monkeys are due to make an appearance at Coachella.
