These two new scenes from The Bourne Legacy, the fourth installment in the series, showcase star Jeremy Renner fulfilling the duties of a modern day action hero in Manila, Philippines.

The first, which was in the film’s original trailer, shows Renner’s character jumping from rooftops to help Rachel Weisz‘s character, who is heavily sought after by the city’s police. The second is the film’s much talked about getaway scene, with the aforementioned actors speeding away from police and a mysterious man with sunglasses.

Tony Gilroy directs the series’ fourth installment. Gilroy took the helm after The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass stepped down from the series.

Matt Damon was due to reprise the role of Jason Bourne, but dropped out after Greengrass ditched the project. Renner’s character Aaron Cross is involved in the same program as Damon’s character in the previous three films. The story will not act as a prequel or direct sequel to the trilogy.

The Bourne Legacy is scheduled for release August 10 in the U.S.
