Not afraid to step outside of his usual comfort zone, actor Ryan Gosling is looking for buyers for his screenplay How To Catch A Monster at this year’s Toronto Film Festival.

Gosling is looking to direct the film as well, which is set to star Drive co-star and Mad Men cast member Christina Hendricks in the lead role of the “fantasy noir” piece. Production studio Sierra Affinity will be looking for foreign buyers during the aforementioned Toronto Film Festival.

Financing the project will be Marc Platt and Adam Siegel of Marc Platt Productions and Michel Litvak and David Lancaster of Bold Films, with production slated to kick off in spring of next year.

“We have a tremendous amount of trust and confidence in Ryan, Christina, Marc and Adam, both personally and professionally,” Litvak said. “We responded immediately to Ryan’s script, and look forward to nurturing the next phase of his career and continuing Bold’s commitment to an artistically collaborative environment.”
