A new poster for upcoming Superman reboot ‘Man of Steel’ has hit the web.

In a surprising twist for a story that has been done many times, the man that stands for Truth, Justice and the American Way may appear as a criminal in the movie.

The new poster shows The Last Son of Krypton in handcuffs, surrounded by soldiers.

Directed by Zack Snyder (‘300,’ ‘Watchmen’) and Produced by Christopher Nolan (‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’), ‘Man of Steel’ will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Russell Crowe as Jor-El.

The twin teaser trailers released in July, narrated by Superman’s adopted human father, Kent, and his biological Kryptonian father Jor-El, suggest that Superman will struggle to balance the influences of these two figures in his life. The fact that he isn’t ripping off the handcuffs in the poster image (or sneezing and doing so accidentally…) give use a strong clue as to which one is winning out.

The teasers also showed the film’s unique look and feel, which will be unlike any Superman film that came before it.
