Comedy legends Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson will undoubtedly provide some big laughs in upcoming comedy ‘The Big Year’. The trailer has appeared over at Apple, and it looks set to entertain.

The film, directed by David Frankel (‘The Devil wears Prada’ and ‘Marley and Me’), is adapted from Mark Obmascik’s 1998 book ‘The big year: a tale of man, nature and fowl obsessions.’

The big year is a grueling 365-day, cross-country challenge across inhospitable terrain, extreme climates and uninhabitable environments with only one goal…to spot more bird species than your rivals. Sound exciting?

Understandably a film about bird watching may not be enough to entice the average cinema-goer. Fortunately Wilson, Martin and Black add humour to the mix. “One is experiencing a mid-life crisis, another a late-life crisis, and the third, a far from ordinary no-life crisis,” consequently calamity ensues.

It may not be the most anticipated film of the year, but there is no doubt the movie will provide some easy laughs. Check out the trailer below:

‘The Big Year’ will appear in US theatres October 14, and UK theatres November 11.
