Director Andrew Dominik’s upcoming drama ‘Killing Them Softly’ has released a brand new international trailer.
The much-hyped crime drama, which was also written by Dominik, is based on the 1974 novel by George V. Higgins ‘Cogan’s Trade;’ and stars Brad Pitt as the film’s central character, Jackie Cogan.
Also starring in the film are Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini, Scoot McNairy, Sam Rockwell, Casey Affleck, Richard Jenkins, and many others.
The trailer for the film gives a lighter side to the business of Cogan the hitman, painting it in a more comedic light.
Buzz is floating around that this may be the first step towards Pitt earning his long-awaited Oscar for Best Actor. However, it looks like he’ll have stiff competition this year from actors like Joaqin Phoenix in ‘The Master,’ Daniel-Day Lewis in ‘Lincoln,’ and Anthony Hopkins in ‘Hitchcock.’
‘Killing Them Softly’ is slated for U.S. release November 30.
