Grab your dancing shoes and get moving, the ‘Footloose’ trailer has hit the web. Although a remake of the 1980’s classic may prove a rather troubling concept for avid Kevin Bacon groupies, it’s almost certain the film will prove a hit with the new ‘glee-generation.’
The remake will adopt the same premise as the 1980’s blockbuster. When public dancing (a rather trivial matter) is banned following a tragic car crash, new kid Ren McCormack (Kenny Wormald) befriends the reverends daughter (Julianne Hough) as he rebels against the injunction and ensures the freedom to dance is a universal right!
The trailer embraces its 80’s setting opting for tight tee’s and Aviators, however the distinct r ‘n’ b tunes air a rather recent vibe and may disappoint anyone looking to relive the retro style offered from the first film.
