The Twilight Saga, written by Stephenie Meyer, is closing in on the release of the finale, ‘Breaking Dawn.’ The main event is Bella and Edward’s wedding, where Alice Cullen plays a big role in preping and primping Bella and even throwing in a few racy items for the honeymoon! Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen, naturally, had the chance to collaborate on what the design and costumes would look like.
Greene told MTV News during Comic-Con, “We all worked really hard on [the wedding]. Everything was kind of a collaboration, even the dresses and the design and stuff like that.”
It is apparent how much time and effort went into costume design. The dresses are unique to each character and Bella’s wedding gown is absolutely stunning. Alice Cullen’s character is from the 1920s and so pieces of her history were revealed through her costume. This is the area where everyone really put their heads together to co-create an epic on screen wedding.
It’s the magic of the screen that really makes reality into a fantastical viewing experience. According to co-star Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Hale, the cast was shooting in the cold wearing stilettos and elegant gowns in the mud!!
But, as a final product, Reed believes it will be beautiful and larger-than-life as fans view the moment on the big silver screen.
