Since the 2008 release of Iron Man, the first in the continuing series of the massively-successful films in the Avengers series, Marvel Studios has announced future plans for its four newest films.

Alongside sequels to its Captain America and Thor franchises, Marvel announced two completely new films, Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man.

Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World director Edgar Wright is slated to direct the Ant-Man movie.

Appearing at last week’s Comic-Con, Wright stated that he’d take, “the Terrence Malick approach to superheroes,” which would explain the near six-year development time. Plans to begin filming are slated for next year.

The other three films, as well as Iron Man 3,  have already scheduled release dates as follows:

Iron Man 3 – May 3, 2013
Thor: The Dark World – November 8,  2013
Captain America: The Winter Soldier – April 4, 2014
Guardians of the Galaxy – August 1, 2014
