Lionsgate have announced Bruno Gunn as the latest actor to be cast the in upcoming sequel to ‘The Hunger Games’, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’.

Gunn will take on the role of Brutus in the film. Brutus is a former victor of the games, hailing from District 2.

Gunn has had supporting and guest roles in some of the most popular television series ever. He has been seen in ‘The Office,’ ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ ‘Sons Of Anarchy,’ and ‘Prison Break’. Has has also recently been seen in the film ‘Bad Teacher’, starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.

Other recent castings include Meta Golding as Enobaria, Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee, Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, Amanda Plummer as Wiress, and Lynn Cohen as Mags.

The character of Finnick Odair is rumored to be the next casting announcement, with ‘Snow While and the Huntsman’ actor Sam Claflin rumored to be the favorite pick for the role.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins. The film adaptation of the novel will be directed by Francis Lawrence, and follow protagonist Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she returns home safely after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) only to learn that they must return to do a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.

Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ is due for release November 22, 2013.
