The first official images from the final Christopher Nolan Batman film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ were released to the public. Actor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, posted one of the images on his Tumblr account for his fans to “heart.”
The two images were quickly posted on the entertainment/movie website IMDb, to the delight of fans.
One of the images is a generic poster of the famous bat signal surrounded by a crumbling city (below). The other image is of actor, Tom Hardy, as his character Bane with a Hannibal Lector-looking face mask (right).
Fans of Nolan’s work and the Batman franchise are eagerly awaiting for whatever glimpses of the project that they can get. A few weeks ago fans got a glimpse of an amateur video showing Anne Hathaway and Christian Bale shooting a few scenes in London.
The film is scheduled to be released in 3-D and IMAX in July 2012.
