Disney has many movies that are in the pipeline. This is no surprise. The entertainment giant is known for having many movies that are in production at the same time. This time it will be a live-action version or Rapunzel. It should be noted that Disney already had a lot of success with their animated film called “Tangled.” This was a new version of the famous Rapunzel tale. It is not known if the new Rapunzel film will have anything to do with “Tangled” at all. This new Rapunzel film continues Disney’s current trend of making live-action versions of animated films that have been very profitable.

According to Nerdist.com, the Rapunzel film is in the very early stages of development. Therefore, there is not much info available at this time. There have been a few rumors about casting choices. However, nothing has been confirmed by Disney as of yet. It seems like Disney is intent on remaking just about all of their animated classics into live-action films. You cannot blame them for doing this. Films like “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” and “The Lion King” have all grossed over $1 billion worldwide in their live-action versions.

Disney might be better served to make this live-action Rapunzel movie a fresh film instead of simply copying the same story from the “Tangled” film. The reason for this is the fact that some of the recent live-action versions of Disney films have been nothing more than a remake of their animated counterpart. Audiences who were hoping to see a slightly different story were left disappointed. It is very possible that Disney has heard these complaints from audiences and will try to make future movies more original. The bottom line is that Disney realizes that there is a huge demand for their live-action movies based on animated classics. Therefore, they are going to keep making them as long as people keep paying to see them.

The slate of Disney live-action remakes that will be coming to theaters soon will definitely make a lot of money. For example, there will be a live-action version of “Mulan.” There is a lot of very positive buzz surrounding the film. However, the fact that all movie theaters in China are closed because of the coronavirus outbreak could seriously hurt the box office results for this film. There will also be a live-action version of “Pinocchio” that will be directed by the great Robert Zemeckis.
