One of the hottest movies of 2011 so far has been movie adaptation of Marvel’s comic book ‘Thor’, which grossed a sensational $439 million worldwide. With that kind of box office success it comes as no surprise that ‘Thor 2’ is already in the pipeline.
A release date of July 26, 2013 has been set for the superhero sequel. However despite that titbit of information, little more concerning the movie is known.
What we do know is that Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor. Unsurprising really considering Hemsworth can once again be seen playing the mighty warrior in upcoming movie ‘The Avengers,’ a movie that details the escapades of a superhero team who, alongside Thor, include Ironman, The Hulk, and Captain America.
Don Payne, who was co-writer on the first movie, will script the sequel, however he remains tight lipped on what exactly he will be writing about.
The biggest alteration is the movie’s change in direction as ‘Thor’ director Kenneth Brenagh is not set to return. Who will take his place remains a mystery.
