When it’s time to have some fun, Dallas is the place to be! From amusement parks and restaurants to museums and sports teams – there are plenty of places in the city that will keep you entertained. In this blog post, we’re going to look at great places around Dallas where you can go for a day of fun with friends or family.

1) Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags is an amusement park located in Arlington, TX. It’s home to more than 100 rides and attractions, as well as a waterpark called Hurricane Harbor. The park’s theme is based around six different regions that each have their unique style – Gotham City, Mexico, France, Spain, the Old West, and the United States.

One of the newest attractions at Six Flags is called Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster, which opened in June 2018. It’s a single-rail coaster custom-designed for Six Flags by Rocky Mountain Construction, a company known for its innovative track designs. The ride starts with an incline lift hill while being held in a shoulder harness, and from there, riders will experience quick turns at 75-degrees with some pretty powerful airtime. It’s one of the more thrilling rides at Six Flags.

2) Adventure Landing

Adventure Landing is a family-friendly water park that has rides and attractions for people of all ages. It’s located in Grand Prairie, TX, right next to Lone Star Park Racetrack & Casino. This particular location also includes mini-golf courses as well as an arcade, so you can spend the entire day at this fun center if you’d like.

Some of the rides that are available at Adventure Landing include Thunder Falls, which is a family raft ride; Blackbeard’s Revenge, which is an enclosed tube ride through twists and turns with some small drops; Gully Washer Plunge – where riders will shoot down six twisty slides into the water below; Monster Trucks Off-Road Adventure, which is a flat ride where kids can drive mini trucks through an obstacle course; and the Texas Twister – another family raft ride that has plenty of splashing.

3) Dallas World Aquarium

The Dallas World Aquarium is a great place to take the family because it’s home to more than 100 different species of animals that you can get up close and personal with. The aquarium has everything from fish, penguins, alligators, komodo dragons, snakes – even an albino alligator.

The Dallas World Aquarium is located inside Fair Park, which is an art and exposition park that also houses the State Fair of Texas each year in October. The theme of this park changes throughout the year – during Spring Break, it becomes Fun-Filled Days at Fair Park, and during the summer, there are all kinds of fun events going on.
