The Disney+ streaming service got off to a very fast start due in large part to the success of “The Mandalorian” series. It is a show that is based in the Star Wars universe. There were many fans around the world who felt that the show was far superior to the theatrical Star Wars movies that have been released over the past few years. The Baby Yoda character has became a big hit with fans. The first season of the series left off with a cliffhanger of sorts. Moff Gideon, the villain who was trying to get his hands on Baby Yoda, was seen cutting himself out of his wrecked ship. This let the audience know that he was alive and well.

Moff Gideon is portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito. The great actor has put together quite an astonishing career. He is very busy these days. He was asked if his role will be any bigger in the second season of “The Mandalorian” that will debut later this year. He confirmed that he definitely does. He has not been given all of the script pages yet because the season is still being written. However, Esposito was assured by producers that he will need to set more time aside for filming because his role will be much bigger than it was the last time. This makes sense because the end of the first season sets up Moff Gideon as the primary villain in the second season.

Moff Gideon is clearly aware of the enormous power that Baby Yoda has. That is why he wants to capture the little green bundle of joy. However, it was not revealed how Moff Gideon is aware of Baby Yoda’s abilities. In fact, nothing at all is known about Moff Gideon’s backstory or where he came from. Some of this info will presumably be revealed during the new season. It is also possible that the producers of the show will keep his character shrouded in mystery.

Giancarlo Espoosito said that he is very happy to be a small part of a show that has become so popular and acclaimed. He is pleased at the response the show has received up to this point. He hopes that “The Mandalorian” will be able to build off the momentum that it generated in season one. He is looking forward to getting started on filming his next scenes and seeing where the story goes.
