Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in the DC Extended Universe, says that he would be interested in portraying the character in a hypothetical Teen Titans film.

“I mean, nothing is off the table, really,” he said when asked about the possibility, during a Q&A session at Wizard World Philadelphia.

“It’s like, stories with consequence actually really appeal to me, where characters are going through recognizable struggle that I see in every day life. So if that translates to Titans or a Cyborg standalone or Justice League 2, as long as that’s there, I’m sold, man. I’m good with anything.”

After a brief hint in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Fisher’s version of Cyborg (real name Victor Stone) had his premiere in Justice League. Having been nearly killed in an accident, he was revived in a half-mechanical form thanks to the Mother Box, one of the three MacGuffins that the film’s villain, Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) needed to take over the world.

Traditionally, Cyborg has not been a member of the Justice League, but the Teen Titans; having premiered in the comics back in 1980, he quickly joined the second iteration of that team and was a main member for years. However, with the 2011 “New 52” reboot of DC Comics, he was changed to being a founding member of the Justice League. Though it gave the latter team some diversity, some fans remain disappointed that his former friendship with the Titans have been erased.

Cyborg remains a part of that team in the cartoon series Teen Titans Go!, and will appear in its upcoming film, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies; there he is voiced by Khary Payton. However, no other Teen Titans film is known to be in the works, and he does not seem to be a character in the upcoming live-action Titans series.

Ray Fisher is theoretically supposed to be getting his own Cyborg solo film, slated for 2020; however, very little has been heard about it since it was announced in 2014. At this point is it hard to say what the plans for the DCEU are beyond 2019, as the franchise has announced about thirty projects and rumors about which they are focusing on change every few weeks.
