Superstar Beyoncé Knowles Carter paid a recent visit to the cast of Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre, Mitchell Peters reported for Billboard on Sunday.

“It happened,” leading man Ben Platt tweeted after the performance. Kristolyn Lloyd, Laura Dreyfuss, and other members of the cast shared their Beyoncé visitation on social media. After sharing a photo of cast members posing with the singer, Dreyfuss wrote on Instagram, “I’m not okay.”

Beyoncé and rapper husband Jay-Z attended the Saturday, September 16th performance of Dear Evan Hansen on a date night, Leanne Aciz Stanton wrote for Us Weekly. The couple, who welcomed twins Sir and Rumi Carter in June, were dressed to the nines for their night out in New York City. She wore a cleavage-revealing gold top and a black miniskirt that laced up the sides.

With music by the duo of Pasek and Paul (a.k.a. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul) and a book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen premiered in 2015 at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. It came to Broadway in December 2016. The production follows the title character, a high school student suffering from social anxiety disorder, as he inflates his role in the life of a classmate who passes away.

At the 71st Annual Tony Awards, held in June, Dear Evan Hansen was nominated for nine awards. It won six of them, including Best Score and Best Musical. Ben Platt, who plays Evan Hansen through the November 19th performance, won the Best Actor in a Musical Tony.

Platt, who recently signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records, will be replaced by Noah Galvin after November 19th. Galvin is best known for playing lead character Kenny on the ABC sitcom The Real O’Neals, which ran from 2016-2017.
