Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone have officially tied the not. The happy couple met on “Bachelor in Paradise,” a spinoff of the popular “Bachelor” franchise.

Though they initially hit it off with other people, they eventually wound up together. By the end of the season, Chris got down on one knee and asked Krystal to marry him.

Members of the so-called Bachelor Nation know better than to believe that an engagement means an actual happy ending. Couples have gotten engaged on the show before and broken up soon after.

Randone and Nielson, however, continued their relationship once the show ended. By fall, they had moved in together. The couple acknowledged that this was quick but said that their time on “Bachelor in Paradise” had been intense. Chris claimed that it was like “months of dating.”

The life they shared in San Francisco reaffirmed that their feelings for each other were genuine. They decided to go ahead with the wedding.

After a year of being engaged, they finally made things official. The ceremony took place at a hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — the same location where they met. Quite a few “Bachelor” stars turned up to help them celebrate. Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti, another couple who met and fell in love on “Bachelor in Paradise,” were among them. Their own wedding will take place in Rhode Island this summer. No word yet on whether Krystal and Chris will return the favor and show up as guests.

As for who officiated the wedding, it was none other than “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison himself. In case you’re wondering, the ceremony will indeed be aired on television. Rumor has it the footage will appear on this summer’s “Bachelor in Paradise” premiere episode.

The future looks bright for the happy couple. According to Randone, they’re looking forward to starting a family together.
