Jennifer Hudson‘s former brother-in-law William Balfour has been found guilty on three counts of first-degree murder and has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Judge Charles Burns issued Balfour with three life sentences and an additional 120 years for the associated charges of home invasion, aggravated kidnapping, residential burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Judge Burns spoke bluntly to Balfour stating his profession of love for murder victim Julian King to be an insult, saying “The fact that you can stand in court and tell us you love that child is an insult to all of us. There is no doubt in my mind he looked up to you as you put bullets into his head. I just hope his terror was short-lived.”

Gregory King, the father to seven-year-old Julian delivered a heartfelt victim impact statement prior to sentencing. “I miss picking Julian up from the school bus. I miss going on field trips with him… I miss him spending the night with me and my other children.”

The family are yet to release a statement.
