Will Smith has responded to claims that he split from his wife of 14 years Jada Pinkett Smith, calling the rumors “Ridiculous”

Rumors first surfaced on Tuesday claiming the ‘Fresh Prince’ star had separated from Pinkett, who had cheated on him with her Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony.

After almost a week of silence, Will and Jada finally responded to the rumors by issuing a joint statement confirming that the pair are still together.

The statement reads: “Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”

TMZ caught up with Will Smith while he was out shopping, and asked him to comment on the “ridiculous” rumors. Agreeing with the reporters remark, Smith responded “You just did.”

Will’s son from a previous marriage, Trey, was the first to shoot down the rumors. He immediately took to twitter, calling the rumors “false information”

Will, 42, and Jada, 39, married in 1997 a year after they met during auditions for hit 90’s television program, ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’. They have two children together: ‘Karate Kid’ actor Jayden, 13, and ‘Whip my Hair’ singer Willow, 10. Jada is also the step-mother to Will’s eldest son -from a three-year marriage to Sheree Zampino- Trey, 18.
