Whitney Houston‘s funeral will be streamed online.

The ‘I Will Always Love You’ singer died in the bathtub of her room at the Beverley Hilton hotel last week, aged 48.

Fans of the late singer were disappointed to learn that Houston’s funeral will be a private event, open only to close friends and family. However, fans from all over the world will now be able to pay their respects, as Houston’s publicist confirmed that The AP will be allowed to film the service.

The service will be streamed live online, and will be made available to TV stations across the world via satellite.

Tyler Perry offered the use of his private jet to fly Houston’s body back to her native New Jersey earlier this week.

Houston’s funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18 at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, where she learned to sing gospel as a child. Her family have revealed she will be buried alongside her father John Russell Houston Jr., who died in 2003, at the age of 83.

Pastor and longtime friend of Houston’s family Marvin L. Winans will give the eulogy. Winans also officiated Houston’s marriage to Bobby Brown in 1992.

In an interview with CNN, Winans said the reason no public memorial service will be held for Houston is that the family did not “want to have a parade.”
