‘30 Rock’ star and former ‘SNL’ comic Tracy Morgan pulled a “Kramer” during a stand-up routine last weekend by going on a homophobic tirade on stage in Nashville, Tennessee.

After going on a 15 minute rant about the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community, as summarized by audience member Kevin Rogers, some members of the audience began to walk out. This wouldn’t be the first time this has happened — Morgan prompted a mass walk-out at a show in Carnegie Hall after a similar homophobic rant in which he insisted that homosexuality was a choice.

The audience really began to turn on him when he went on to say he would stab his own son to death if he ever came home from school and told his father that he was gay. In response to audience protests, Morgan reportedly said, “If gays can take a dick up their ass, they can take a joke,” which is a joke rumored stolen from British comedian Toju Okorodudu.

This is all very odd and highly offensive, but not exactly out of character for the eccentric comedian who is known for his outrageous actions in front of a camera.

Morgan has since apologized for his outburst, saying “I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others,”
