In life, you have your friends, and you have your enemies. However, for the most famous of us, it seems their lives are full of bullying, gossip, general b*tchiness, and the occasional death threat. For the famous few, 2012 was filled with all of the above. From the true A-List celebrities to the jailbirds, it seemed like everyone had some beef this year. Just in case you need a reminder about the worse cases, we run down the top 5 celebrity feuds of 2012:

5.) DMX vs. Freddo Star

In September 2012, DMX was giving a radio interview when the topic of the interview suddenly turned to former Onyx rapper, Freddo Starr. DMX remarked that Starr had once been beat up by a groupie that he got pregnant. The mention of this certainly embarrassing occasion prompted Starr to post a death threat track on YouTube, which targeted DMX. Not one to back down from an argument, DMX fired back that he wasn’t scared of Starr because he was a “4-ft tall midget” and a “fake Moesha gangsta.” The feud is ongoing.

4.) Lindsay Lohan vs. Amanda Bynes

Lindsay Lohan is a childhood star with grown-up problems including drunk driving arrests, theft arrests and a long list of other criminal charges. However, her past indiscretions didn’t stop her from passing judgement on another childhood star, Amanda Bynes, who has recently had her own run ins with the law. On September 17, 2012, Lohan took to Twitter to ask why she (Lohan) had to pay for her crimes, but Bynes hasn’t. Bynes shot back at Lohan by telling her to stay out of her business.

3.) Madonna vs. Lady Gaga

If you look at a side by side photo of Lady Gaga and Madonna, it is easy to see that the two singers have quite a few similarities. Pair their physical similarities with the two divas exceptionally large gay following and the uncanny similarity between their songs “Express Yourself” and “Born this Way,” and you have the perfect makings for a feud. However, Madonna waited until January 2012 to finally weigh in on her opinion of Lady Gaga’s song “Born this Way.” When asked by a reporter about the song, Madonna said the song was “reductive.” Lady Gaga’s people report that the song was given the Material Girl’s blessing, but Madonna’s people say that just isn’t true.

2.) Chris Brown vs. Drake

On June 14, 2012, the W.i.P. nightclub in New York City was the location of the alleged brawl between the notoriously angry Chris Brown and the notoriously soft Drake. Both rappers had been drinking with their crews, when someone threw a bottle that escalated an already tense situation into an all out brawl. Sources close to the rappers think a relationship between Rihanna, Brown’s ex-girlfriend, and Drake was the fuel that caused this fire to erupt. Brown and Drake each fled the scene after the fight, but each rapper has since released diss tracks blaming each other for the situation. Real original.

When producers of American Idol chose Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj to judge the singing competition, they had to know that these highly successful, opinionated women were going to butt heads at some point. On October 3, 2012, the two divas shut down the American Idol tryouts in Charlotte, North Carolina, because they could not stop bickering over a difference of opinion. While Keith Urban, another American Idol Judge sat between them, the two women quickly traded unkind words, which concluded with Minaj saying “If I had a gun, I’d shoot the b****,” according to a TMZ transcription  Carey has reportedly taken the threat extraordinarily seriously and hired extra security. However, the feud between Carey and Minaj could have started nearly two years before this highly publicized argument. In 2010, Carey and Minaj appeared in the video “Up Out My Face.” The video was created before Minaj was successful, but she was reportedly rude and uncooperative with Carey during the filming of this video.
