This whirlwind romance has left the couple looking for a getaway. A source close to the two lovebirds revealed that Meghan and Harry might be headed for some sun in the near future. This vacation will provide them with some much-needed rest before all of the busy wedding planning that lies in their future. As for where the couple might be traveling to, that information isn’t known yet.
However, it’s likely that Meghan and Harry will wait to take off until after the holidays. Harry was recently fulfilling his royal duties with an appearance in London at an event hosted by St. Luke’s Church. It was a caroling concert for the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, a UK-based charity. While Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas was also in attendance, Meghan was nowhere to be seen.
It turns out that Meghan was back Stateside, spending time with her mother Doria Ragland in Los Angeles. This was an opportunity for Meghan to be away from the spotlight for a bit. She’ll soon return to eager paparazzi when she arrives back in London for Christmas with the royal family.
The Windsors traditionally spend the holidays at an estate in Sandringham. It’s unusual for Meghan to have been invited; the royal Christmas celebration is reserved for family members and their spouses. Indeed, Kate Middleton was not invited during her engagement to Prince William.
Meghan might be away from Harry at the moment while she’s in California, but long distance is nothing new for the two of them. In the early stages of their relationship, Meghan was filming the show Suits in Toronto, while Harry was living in London. During their time apart, the couple used the FaceTime app every day.
After the holidays and their upcoming vacation, Meghan and Harry will be married in May of 2018. The wedding will take place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
