In a recent interview with Parade, Mitt and Ann Romney both revealed who they’d like to see perform at the White House if they were to win November’s presidential election.

Mitt noted The Beach Boys for one, although admitted “I know it’s not the same group it used to be.”

He also mentioned country stars Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, and Garth Brooks, as well as classic rock staples Aerosmith, Alabama, and The Eagles. The Eagles, specifically, because the Romney’s are apparent personal friends with former member Don Felder, who will perform at next week’s Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Ann’s choices were a little less conventional, noting her love jazz, pop, and classical music. One band that seemed to stick out among the artists mentioned was Las Vegas group The Killers, which Mitt said “are one group I enjoy.” Lead singer Brandon Flowers is a fellow Mormon, which might explain the surprising connection.

Mitt conceded in the interview, however, that many of the artists he likes would be unlikely to perform at the White House if he were elected.

“These are not all Republicans, by the way,” he said. “Some may turn us down.”
