Melanie Brown has given birth to a baby girl.
The baby was born at 5am this morning, September 2, at LA’s Cedars-Sinai hospital, however no further details regarding the babies weight or name have emerged.
The former Spice Girl already has two daughters from previous relationships; twelve-year-old Phoenix from her marriage with Jimmy Gulzar and five-year-old Angel from her controversial relationship with comedian Eddie Murphy, who spent years vehemently denying the baby was his.
The new addition is the first child Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte have together.
Hours after giving birth, the 36-year-old took to her twitter account to announce the long-awaited arrival: “Finally our baby arrives, Stephen nearly passed out, Phoenix nearly screamed, I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!”
The news was later confirmed by a spokesperson who stated: “This evening Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte welcomed their new baby girl in Los Angeles… both mum and baby are happy, healthy, and doing well.”
