Lou Taylor is a native of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, born to a beauty queen, model mother, and guitarist father in 1985. The renowned actor has two brothers, and when he was two years old, his family moved to Keansburg, New Jersey. Lou graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey. Thanks to his aunt, who encouraged him to join Community Theater, Lou Taylor started acting at the early age of ten years, where he starred in a hometown production known as Oliver!

Lou Taylor also appeared as Friedrich on Broadway in ‘The Sound of Music two years after beginning his acting journey. When Mike Mills’ ‘Thumbsucker’ made its debut at Sundance Film Festival, Taylor received recognition as one of the most promising young actors of his time. He played the role of 17-year-old Justin Cobb, a compulsive thumbsucker, a position that earned him a Sundance Special Jury Prize and an award as the Best Actor in the Berlin Film Festival. In Rebecca Miller’s film, known as Personal Velocity, Lou Taylor also acted as a young hitchhiker. Thanks to his role in this film, Lou walked away with the Sundance Grand Jury Prize for the Dramatic Film.

Lou Taylor is also famous for his motion picture credits such as Evil Dead, Beginners, where he re-teams with Mike Mills, The Answer Man, and Brotherhood featuring Will Canon. Taylor has also played several recurring roles in the mini-series American Horror Story, Falling Water, and You’re The Worst. The actor has also featured several television credits, such as the HBO mini-series known as Empire Falls. He has also worked in several indie film roles for over a decade and played a leading role as an autistic man in the 2013 film known as Story of Luke, where he played alongside Seth Green.
