Lindsay Lohan‘s probation has officially been revoked.

Lohan has been on an informal probation following her misdemeanor theft of jewelry last year, which had just one condition – For Lohan to abide by the law.

It seems that simple condition was too much for Lohan, as she has now been charged with three misdemeanor counts of lying to Santa Monica Police. Lohan is accused of lying to police about whether she was driving a Porsche that collided with a garbage truck on the Pacific Coast Highway in California.

Lohan’s attorney appeared before a judge this morning (December 12) to hear the revocation order.

The case will return to court on January 15, 2013 for a judge to decide if her actions are a harsh enough violation for her to serve jail time. If so, and the judge wishes to make an example out of her, she will face up to 245 days in jail.

Lohan recently appeared in the Lifetime movie ‘Liz and Dick,’ a biopic following the tumultuous love story behind Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton getting together.

Lohan was also accused of hitting a pedestrian with her car in September.
