British pop singer Lily Allen wed her boyfriend of two years, Sam Cooper on June 11th. And the best day of any girl’s life was made even more memorable for Lily, when the couple announced to 100 of their close friends and family (not forgetting the press…) that Lily was four months pregnant.
The ceremony took place in the picturesque English village of Cranham, Gloucestershire where Lily wore a lace dress by French designer Delphine Manivet. In a move similar to the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, the little bridesmaids wore white.
Referring to the touching moment when newly married Sam Cooper shared the couples baby joy, one wedding guest told The Mirror, “It was so very, very touching – and so the icing on the cake for them… there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.”
The news is made even more special as it follows two miscarriages, the last of which Lily suffered when six months pregnant in November 2010.
Mr. and Mrs. Cooper will continue celebrations throughout the month, honeymooning at the Glastonbury music festival at the end of June. The unique destination is highly appropriate as the couple met amid the music and mud at the festival in 2009, the same year Lily preformed the Pyramid stage.
