Animal rights organization PETA is not happy with Lady Gaga‘s recent fashion choices.

The controversial singer stepped out in recent weeks wearing clothes that appeared to be made of fur, including a hot-pink Giorgio Armani jacket which PETA confirmed was made of rabbit fur. The singer also sported a fox stole in the poster for her upcoming film “Machete Kills.”

The animal rights group penned a letter to the pop star Monday in which the PETA senior vice president Dan Mathews pointed out her inconsistencies when it came to fur. The letter quotes her telling Ellen DeGeneres, “I hate fur and I don’t wear fur.” The letter links to photos of Gaga wearing clothing that may be made of fur.

Lady Gaga tweeted a response to PETA. “For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don’t forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank you! LOVE, Gaga”

PETA has criticized many celebrities for wearing clothing and accessories that are made from animal products. Recently, Kim Kardashian was flour-bombed by a PETA supporter after she was spotted carrying a Birkin crocodile skin handbag.

Gaga has earned the ire of PETA in the past for wearing her infamous “meat dress” to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
