Former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland has finally shaken off her ‘Single Ladies’ status after her manager Tim Witherspoon finally popped the question.

Rumors of an engagement have circulated since last week, when she accidentally revealed a moon-sized diamond ring in an Instagram video.

The rumors were confirmed by multiple sources, who told Running Lip that Rowland, 32, just want to “celebrate privately” while it all sinks in. However, that hasn’t stopped her from showing the ring off to friends and family since Witherspoon popped the question – Which is how the video surfaced on a friend’s Instagram account. Rowland and Witherspoon have dated on/off for almost five years.

Rowland had been engaged once before, to football player Roy Williams. The pair split up just two months before their planned wedding, in January 2005. Ever since that relationship, and the rumors that swirled after it ended, Rowland has kept her love life to herself. To date, she never even confirmed she was dating Tim Witherspoon, though the paparazzi photos of them kissing in public made it very obvious.

“I was too young for marriage,” Rowland told Cosmo UK about her broken engagement. “But sometimes you fall down and you learn from it.”

Rowland used her last single “Dirty Laundry” to express her feelings about a past abusive relationship. The single, which Roy Williams confirms is not about him, addresses physical domestic violence Rowland suffered in a past relationship. “I had to get past being so upset and actually sing the song, not sob through it,” Rowland told Billboard. “It was very emotional. It took me days.”

Rowland, who is a judge on the U.K. edition of talent show X Factor, had a string of hit singles after leaving Destiny’s Child, including “Stole,” “Like This,” and “Work”.
