Jay Cutler, quarterback for the Chicago Bears, and actress Kristin Cavallari, most famous for her roles on ‘The Hills’ and ‘Laguna Beach,’ have reportedly called off their engagement. The announcement was sudden, as just last week Kristen tweeted a “Thx” to her friends for throwing her an engagement party.
The pair had been seeing each other for less than a year, and decided to get engaged this past Easter. In keeping with their short courting, things continued to move quickly. The date for the wedding was already picked out, and Jay and Kristin had even had a gift registries prepared at the furniture store Crate & Barrel, and cookware store Williams-Sonoma.
A source close to the couple says Cutler was the one who called it off, and Kristin is “absolutely devastated.”
Last night Cavallari was spotted at The Beverly, a lounge in Los Angeles, where she sat at a table with hotel heiress Nicky Hilton and Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio. She was not wearing her 5.2 carat, quarter-of-a-million dollar engagement ring.
