Even though they are highly accomplished and financially well-off, several very famous celebrities sometimes prefer to live in rented homes, instead of purchasing their living quarters.
As explained in a current article on the Sydney Morning Herald website, there are lots of reasons why celebrities choose renting over owning. Perhaps they are filming a movie, or working on a music project in the area.
Sometimes, a celebrity may be going through the breakup of a relationship, and is in need of a place to get away from a problem situation. If they recently relocated to an area, they may be renting until they can find a property they’re interested in.
Here are a few of the well-known celebrities who have recently been or still are renting their living spaces.
The Kardashian-Jenners
Although they already own an impressive assortment of properties, the Kardashian-Jenner family members sometimes rent different types of properties. Rental properties have been used in the production of the various “Keeping up with the Kardashians” television shows, and family members have temporarily rented properties while their own homes were undergoing construction.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé
These music superstars are known for preferring to lease the homes they live in. One Malibu, California, property that the couple rented, in particular, was quite extraordinary.
The Malibu property featured a large, Italian villa-style house, along with two guest homes. With nine bedrooms, a wine cellar, indoor pool and media room, there would be plenty of room for the famous couple and their three children.
Justin Bieber
For many years, Justin Bieber preferred to rent the places he called home. When he started renting, Bieber chose to live in a penthouse in Beverly Hills. His next living spot was a mansion in Los Angeles that carried a monthly rent of more than $29,000.
Bieber then went on to rent a Beverly Hills mansion, which came with a monthly rent in excess of $50,000.
Ariana Grande
Singer Ariana Grande may be a homeowner now, but for years she lived in several rented luxury properties in the Los Angeles area. Before moving into a spacious mansion, Ms. Grande shared two rented living space. with her mother.
