Forty year-old actress Denise Richards’ family life has recently come under the spotlight. For one thing, Richards is the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, an actor who is now more famous for his drug addictions than his work.
In a recent interview for ‘Piers Morgan Tonight,’ Richards told Piers, “the Charlie that some of you have seen over the last six months is not the person that I met and married.”
At the time of their marriage, Sheen had been sober for three years. The couple was married for four years before they divorced in 2006.
Richards also expressed her concern regarding Sheen’s behavior but stated “If anyone can pick themselves up, make a huge comeback, it’s Charlie.” She has a personal stake in Charlie’s wellbeing as he is the father of her two daughters, Sam (7) and Lola Rose (6).
Another reason Richards has resurfaced in the media is the single-mom recently made the daring decision to adopt a third child, Eloise Joni.
Richards had been considering an addition to her family for two years; however, having not found the right partner, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Richards’ other two children have really taken to their new little sister.
Though she is happy with things the way they are, the new mother-of-three has not ruled out the possibility of a leading man in the future.
