Conor Maynard has announced the venue of his U.S. television debut.

After his debut single “Vegas Girl” spent more than a month in the radio airplay Top 40, the British pop sensation will appear on NBC’s ‘Today’ show on October 16.

Maynard will perform “Vegas Girl” live with a full band on the show before heading to the top of the Empire State Building for a meet-and-greet with fans. He is also due to appear on VH1’s ‘Big Morning Buzz’ for an acoustic performance of “Vegas Girl” on October 17.

Maynard’s television appearances mark the start of promotion for the U.S. release of his debut album ‘Contrast.’ Due for release January 8, 2013 the album features a unique blend of Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop, alongside a range of guest artists, including Pharrell Willams, and Rita Ora.

Much like Justin Bieber, Maynard got his start on YouTube. He amassed tens of millions of views before Ne-Yo made contact and offered him a record deal. Ne-Yo also appears on Maynard’s single “Turn Around.”

‘Contrast’ debuted at #1 in the UK Album Chart in August. Maynard’s first single “Can’t Say No,” which was not promoted in the US, peaked at #2 in the UK singles chart.

The Today show airs every weekday from 7am.
