Amanda Holden has announced she is three months pregnant and expecting a baby girl with husband Chris Hughes.

The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge, who already has a five-year-old daughter, took to her official website to make the announcement: “Chris, Lexi and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl.”

Forty-year-old Holden experienced the harrowing stillbirth of her son last February, when she was seven months pregnant. She suffered a previous miscarriage in 2010.

In the statement, Holden acknowledged “the first half of this year has been unbelievably difficult for us and so we are beyond delighted to share this news with you… Your ongoing support for us this year has been so touching. We are enormously grateful.”

Holden, who is currently starring in London’s West End show, ‘Shrek The Musical,’ has vowed to put her health and her family first. Acting on medical advice, she will be leaving her role as Princess Fiona eight weeks early. ‘Girls Aloud’ singer, Kimberly Walsh will take over the role from October 3.
